I am scheduled to start orientation on Tuesday January 29. At this moment I am sitting in the examination room at the clinic. So far I have pissed in a cup, got a free haircut, had my vision and hearing checked. I am waiting on the Dr to perform the rest of the medical examination. I will update as I progress through the Schneider orientation.
My only question so far is why am I getting another medical card exam when the one I hold is good through 2014??

Keep us posted. I've already had my examination at a private truck school (last week no less) and I'm curious if I will need to take the examination again.

I'm at Schneider orientation right now in the Bulk division. Most large trucking companies are going to make you get another physical. I considered three large companies before choosing Schneider and all three had me take another physical although I had just taken one in November. Once you arrive at Schneider you will be required to take an agility test the first day and if you fail you go home. I will graduate Wednesday (hopefully) and then head to Reserve, LA for two days of loading / unloading training and then training on the truck for ten days.
The orientation is long...12 hour days for 10 days straight with no days off. Homework every night. It good training but just long days.raetnrunner and The Specialist Thank this.
