I've decided to "humor" the company by toughing it out a little and limiting my idling and also driving conservatively. My last fill up I drove around 1,580 miles on one tank of gas and put in 222 gallons for an average fuel economy of 7.1. After sitting in Laredo for four days, waiting for my truck to get fixed, I actually went "When was the last time I fueled?" and had to check my log book to remember. Yes, Swift's fuel routing sucks balls. They want you to arrive sniffing the red zone. Yes, being #####ed at for idling sucks just as equally. All that work just for a measly 7.1? Just think what I can do with an APU and a glider kit. Still, it beats hitting the quarter tank mark at only 1,000 miles or so.
