So I found out something that I was a little suspicious of was actually true. Quick books was off on my accounting. Of course it was my fault because I was the one doing it. I think during my "figuring it out" stage I probably entered some things wrong but to the tune of 13k over the year just ouch. So I decided to try out rigbooks and man I am glad I did. Just got all my numbers entered and am happy with the program.
QuickBooks net profit for the year so far listed 42k
Rigbooks net profit for the year so far listed 55K
I know that rigbooks is right because it is simple to use unlike quickbooks. I was able to compare last years 10 months of numbers to this years and here is what I found.
Gross revenue is down from 170k last year to 167k
Net profit is staying in the same area when you figure in taxes paid this year for last years numbers. 2018 N.P. 63k 2019 N.P. 55k it is down about 1k.
Net profit per mile is down .04 cpm but gross revenue per mile is up .12 cpm.
All in all I am happy with the numbers and look forward to seeing what I can do next year. -
Well the numbers are in. Pretty much the same as last year.
Gross to truck - $189k
Expenses and taxes - $133k
Profit / wage - $56k -

I will have to figure that out when I get home. I was just able to release the numbers because I got my last settlement today.

So I figured that I was not very active in my thread last year so I figure I will do a monthly update to go over what happened that month.
January was an ok month but had a pretty major hiccup in it. I ended up having to be taken to the ER while on the road with major abdominal pain. So after a 30+ mile ambulance ride and several hours in the ER I have kidney stones for the first time. I still managed to get 26 days out on the road but boy were some of those crappy lol. The truck is still having some random issues but I can't take it to the shop because it never sets off any engine lights. If it does the light always shuts off by the time I get near the shop. No point in taking it in and wasting money for them to just play a guessing game. I will just have to keep her rolling until she don't anymore then off to the shop. I had a lot of dead head this month due to my medical issue. So here are the figures for this month.
Days out = 26
Loaded miles = 6551
Empty miles = 1357
Total miles = 7908
Gross earnings = $ 13787.23
Expenses = $ 9091.58
Wage = $ 4000
Profit = $ 695.65
CPM
GE = CPM = $1.74
E = CPM = $1.15
W = CPM = $0.50
P = CPM = $0.09popcorn169 Thanks this. -
Typical revenue swings during winter months. l ran all winter. l had one bad week where the ice was so thick, my chains dug down to the pavement. l was stuck and had to call a Wrecker/tow truck. $600 to pull me 1/8 mile. l should have just parked my truck but didn't.

We only had one major snow so far. Luckily I was at home for it dealing with kidney stones.

So February was actually a decent month surprisingly. I am still having to deal with my health issues and will be going in for surgery next month so wish me luck. Didn't have any brake downs or issues this month with the exception of catching my bumper on a pallet yesterday backing out of Home depot. Ended up braking the corner off. Oh well I will just get a aftermarket bumper to replace it. So here is the numbers.
Days out = 22
Loaded miles = 6184
Empty miles = 497
Total miles = 6681
Gross earnings = 16039.07
Expenses = 7656.24
Wage = 4000
Net profit = 4382.83
CPM
GE = 2.40
E = 1.15
W = .60
P = .65dunchues and popcorn169 Thank this. -
