System is OTR for us. Some out and back stuff is OTR too. Went to Waverly N.Y. last week and that was a 3 day trip getting paid to sleep in the truck.
Smut and Latinstartrucker Thank this. -
No load out until probably Tuesday morning since I was one of the last drivers in. Most of us take the holidays off. I'll call on Monday to see what they got for me. An extended weekend with the family is nice.

An extra day of chill. Next load is a pick up in Aurora NC on Wed with an unload in Watertown CT on Thur. I then get a new load in Watertown and head back down loaded to Aurora. That'll be around 1200 loaded miles, a couple of hundred empty, and the nearly automatic loading delay in Aurora. I will be home Friday night or possibly Sat morning, depending on traffic and the speed of load and unload. Next week I'll do a full week.

I know this is prolly a dumb question, given they haul hazmat a lot it seems, do they have a pet policy, that allows a small dog?
-
No pets or passengers. Chemical plants don’t allow themMortarmaggot Thanks this.
-
Even if they did, it's very dangerous for the pet. Youre going to track stuff into the truck, the pet wll get it on its paws, lick its paws, and then could become sick.Smut and Mortarmaggot Thank this.

Not being able to take one of my kids on a short non hazmat run sucks, but they understand. There are still too many positives to let that keep me from driving here.
Smut Thanks this. -
Can you describe the sleeping arrangements while on a truck with a trainer? Did they provide transport the days you stayed at a hotel and did local runs? Or how does it work?
