Got to drive loaded today, just a few hundred miles. We went to Grenada, they couldn't take the load due to their tank being full. Drove back to Memphis and waited on the RI load. Hooked it and made Nashville where we'll hole up for the night. 0400 move out tomorrow.

Made it to Martinsburg WV and checked into the hotel. It was a good day on the road and I drove loaded some more. Tomorrow well finish the last 460 miles and be ready to offload in the morning.

Checking into hotels is becoming a pain, but since they don't have double sleepers, it's necessary. I look forward to getting training behind me so I can be alone on the road with the truck. No hotels unless I feel the need every week or so.

My training was a little different. Only did 1 OTR trip and 2 nights out. The rest was with local guys preloading trailers and delivering dropped loads. They did base me in a hotel away from home for a couple of weeks. That was better than pulling everything in and out of a cab and I had my pick up truck for off duty time.

Yeah, each terminal does it their own way within some corporate set permaiter. That's my guess anyway.

Made it to RI. I drove halfway and Billy the other half. Kicking back in a hotel. We'll eat the continental breakfast before heading out to deliver 20 miles away. After unloading we head to Springfield Massachusetts for tank wash and to see about our next load.

A full week is behind me and I'm just starting the second. I'll be home the 15th or 16th. I've got family time for a week at Myrtle Beach. We paid for it, not Superior. They are a great company but they have limits. Lol

On a 2 week vacation myself. After your first year you will get 2 weeks paid vacation. Don't remember the exact amount but it's over $800 gross.

It's 80 paid hours at your local hourly rate if I read it correctly.

I'm at the Springfield terminal. Truck is overdue a service so we're hanging until it's done. Burgers and dogs are available for driver appreciation week.

Springfield Mass needs drivers. They will take 6 if you know anyone. Memphis needs several too.

My trainer and I will be running a load down to Roanoke, VA tomorrow and then heading in.

Staying in Springfield another night. Loaded the tank and a break chamber started leaking just a bit. Dropped trailer for repair. Delivery is at 10 am on Thursday so we have plenty of time to make it down.

Made it back to the terminal on Thursday. Did a bunch of videos Friday and some local driving. I'm off for the next 9 days for an unpaid vacation to Myrtle beach.

I'll be in Greer SC for the company's one week course the week after next. It sounds like that's my last required training, but I might have to do another couple of days with the local guy. The system guy said I won't need to see him again.

Looking forward to making more than trainee pay, which really isn't that bad.

Will let you know how Greer goes.
