Headed back over the Hillbilly tomorrow or Thursday on my way back to NC with a load. Found out today that this is my last training load. I'll be back in Wilmington Friday and then we'll train on the air and pump for a couple of days.
Next week I'll be rolling in the crap International I've been assigned. Got to stick with it for a year and then I get a brand new truck. It's good to know the end is close and that the good money will start to be made next week. -
When is superior going to be officially done phasing out the internationals?

Not sure of the date, but was told a year. I'll ask.RogerThat72 Thanks this.

Headed over the Hillbilly today to unload in Greensboro. Will try to make Wilmington tonight but not sure if that's going to be possible. Carrying a liquid soap product which might be slow to unload. Looking forward to a weekend at home and finishing up the training. Will start running on my own after Halloween

Ended up spending the night in High Point after unloading. Got to Wilmington and decided to take 4 days home. Back to it on Wednesday. I'll do pump and air training then.
I find it odd to be doing that 2 months after starting, but I don't set up the training. I already understand the process from observation and assisting over the past 2 months. To be honest, there is a bit of disappointment from seeing and experiencing my own training process. If I didn't have twenty years of either being trained or being a professional trainer in the military, I might not know better.
I experienced a very poor training process over the last month. I'll write it up after I complete it next week. There were some high points along the way, but overall it's been poor. I could have learned more with a manual and going out on my own after the first 3 weeks. Greer was good training. I have never learned so little in so much time. If I hadn't been proactive the last month, I'd have gotten next to nothing.
After Wednesday, I'm on my own making the good pay.Last edited: Oct 28, 2017

Good Lord. Finally a full hire with training behind me. First load is a 3 compartment HAZMAT load to High Point and then I run back to Wilmington. I left at 0130 for a 0600 delivery. All was well until they told me they couldn't take it all.
They are deciding to tote the last compartment or send the trailer back. I've been on the clock for a half hour, so go ahead, take your time
My 14 hour is down to 7, so if they do tote it, by the time I get the tank washed I'll be chillin at a local truck stop for the night. This trailer needs to be done at the Express in Greensboro for some reason.
Oh well, that's tanks.scythe08 and Speed_Drums Thank this. -
Congrats. I should be rolling into High Point around noon Friday. Hopefully you get something a little longer next.
Mortarmaggot Thanks this.
