I was thinking about that Swift driver who claims he sat outside his trainers home for days with nothing to eat but a Hot Dog, while his trainer enjoyed a warm comfortable place to relax. It's seems the Fleets really don't give a hoot about it's trainee's. The trainee is at mercy of A. The Company and B. The Driver who uses the driver as a door mat. There is not much else to say about your situation. You (Sea of Green) Needed to contact your Training Coordinator long ago and give them the details after the first day. It's time you take a stand and call your trainer and tell him how angry you are, how you resent being treated like a tule, and you are not going to tolerate another day of mis-treatment just because he's doing home-time.

From what I gather you're probably not able to afford a room on your own at the slave wages they are paying you, right? And you're doing your best to please them.

Door Mat ( someone who let's people walk all over them)

This will be interesting to see how it pans out....

Presuming this is all true (and I believe it is) - this is no way to treat someone...

Okay now call Norma and Sandy at P.A.M., they will fix this. And you are not supposed to move the truck without your trainer there. so with that the trainer should be fired as a trainer at the minimum. Take it to the Pilot and park it this morning, get a shower and ask for a new trainer.

ORT WIFE and Sea0fgreen Thank this.

When I was with Stevens, my trainer's wife was a traveling home care nurse in the TX panhandle and met up with us in Amarillo while we were waiting on an IBP load. They took me out to dinner with them. Some trainers do give a #### about their students. :)

No, not all trainers are Azzwipes, My trainer was a decent family guy who enjoyed helping newbies find all the cool truck stops and plenty of miles....:biggrin_25525:

The very moment this guy suggested that I stay in the truck while he takes home time I would have told him to get bent and think again!

Pop: Once Swift was made aware of that situation, it was quickly handled. Additionally, that individual had sense enough to remove himself from the situation after a day. He went to a motel he did not have to pay for. The only other issue was his medication, which was, again, dealt with by Swift as soon as they were clearly told about it.

BTW: That guy is a mentor now.

Yea i was pretty naive. This guy kept telling me that he was hooking me up with a ride, that kept me pacified for like 3 days. Should have seen through that bs. But the company seems like they care though.
I called a guy named carl and explained the situation, the first thing he said ''why the hell you wait so long to call?''

Feel like a ####### but oh well. Live and learn.
    and
I got another trainer coming to pick me up tomorrow. Lucky

I think Carl hit it right there brother. That guy shouldn't have left you like that, but you gotta speak up for yourself because no one else is going to do it for you.

    Injun and mtnMoma Thank this.
