My truck front differential is spitting gear oil

    Dang 210 seems kinda hot to me?? I've had mine spew some oil out when they get really warm

    How full are you filling it? You're not filling it through the breather hole are you? If you fill it clear to the breather hole that is WAY over full... And will spit alot of oil out as it heats up.

    My buddy bought some Schaefer’s that had “tack” additive in it. It started foaming out the breather hole. His mechanic told him to drain it and refill with “no tack” oil and it fixed the problem.

    Thanks,Lester,when I on step hill,it reach 210to 220,then temp drop down back to 180,the temperature at 100 degree outside,

    Hard to tell from picture, but breather should be on back side of axle. Road ram air will pressurize the housing. I sometimes run daycare at the shop!
