Guys, it is imperative that you know the regulations on where you plan to drive. Especially Canada. Just got a nice little 1337 buck fine (thankfully in Canadian dollars) because I assumed that a spread axle would give you at least the same weight allowance as a closed axle. I was wrong. 12400 kg when a spread axle system only allows for 9100 kg. Closed my axles and I'm legal. Still get the nice ticket though.

I think trump's talking about Nafta must have shook it down. In my time it was either .65 all the way to around 1.10 -
I was bouncing out of Cold Lake, Alberta years ago. Got stopped, didn't know why. Ended up the trooper had never seen a US spread before and just wanted to look at it and talk to me about it.
I explained to him how the US let us load it as opposed to Alberta. He thought it was a cool set up. Like I said a lot of years ago.MJ1657 Thanks this. -
