Got an N14 Celect that’s in a ‘92 W9B. The oil pan has a crack about 2” to the side of the drain. It’s been patched in the past, with what looks to be JB weld. I can weld just about anything so, if it’ll clean up enough to allow me to do so then I’d try it. What do y’all recommend?

If you feel that you can weld it correctly, than do it, it will save you money. Otherwise replace the oil pan with a new one

If you can get all of the JB Weld off, then go for it. Drill a hole at the ends of the crack, then weld it up. May end up having to get another pan anyway but what the h...

It's already broke. Trying to fix yourself, can't break it any more.
Save the money if you can.
    Good luck

I’ll probably drop it, wash it with soapy water, then use a small butane torch to burn any oil that may be in the crack. As suggested , I’ll drill out each end of the crack(s) then tig weld it. You guys by chance no the torque and torque sequence, for the pan?
