    Alternate route is here:

Take Exit 1 and follow the signs. Alternate route is truck-friendly. Divided two-lane highway the whole way. Only adds about five miles to the trip.

They are, by all accounts, VERY SERIOUS about trucks not being on this stretch of I-77, and trucks are being routinely pulled over and ticketed for ignoring the detour.

Word on the street says that this is going to last until November.

It's been that way for several days. I had to go around it last week. Have to be pretty stupid to roll past the big light board saying "Trucks Exit Now". (Or however it's worded)

Went thru there last night. Gotta pay attention, as soon as you get out of the tunnel trucks must take that first exit onto US 52. Not a bad road , but troopers are waiting on the other side for any trucks that ingored detour route
