    Just finished second week of training at North Carolina Truck Driver Training School. I've got to say they are very thorough. I have no doubts that before graduation (6 more weeks, fingers crossed) I will have developed valuable skills and built a solid foundation for a new career. The instructors are a great bunch of guys and you can tell they like doing what they do. They even have a Diesel Technology class next door and teach you hands on about maintenance and how things work. I'm going to send a bunch of applications this weekend and see what comes back.

    Reading this thread has helped me to decide on JCC. I already have a Class A with Haz & Tanker, but I didn't get it through a school. I don't have any doubt now that JCC will not only open more doors for me career wise but that I will also learn a lot.

    Just read this thread 5 years later...
    So much has changed!!
    Going to JCC is still the best decision I’ve made in my life...
    I drove for Starquest, the traveling dance competition for 7 months out of school. . After the dance tour ended for the year, I went to Magnum LTD. I was there for 3 1/2 years. OTR reefer outfit out of North Dakota. I stayed out 3-4 weeks at a time and home for a week. A solid company.
    Almost a year ago, I hired on to Whitley Logistics out of Raleigh NC. A small company that hauls mostly specialized refrigerated Pharmacuticals like vaccines, insulin and plasma. Very interesting niche job. I am home every weekend and usually a night during the week. Really a nice small company that cares about their drivers.
    I owe it all to JCC...

    I am. 2 1/2 years now.
    I like the job. Great people. Treat me good. I can’t imagine working anywhere else.

    I did. It’s small enough you feel like family. I can walk in and sit down in the owners office. Everyone knows you by name and your treated like a person.
    Have you heard of Whitley? Are you in/graduate of JCC?
