    I'm 1099 and been offed a job to drive from Detroit to just on the other side of Illinois state line drop and hook for 200 a day . is that a good rate

    Unless you have some issues in your background, I wouldn't take that job. I'd continue looking to find something that pays hourly unless you have the discipline to save throughout the year to pay your taxes and health insurance on your own. Just my .02 cents, good luck in your search

    You have been offered a job to be a company driver, an employee. You need to be a w-2 employee, not an independent contractor.

    Depends on how many miles it is. For an 8 hour day, that would be $25 per hour....good rate.
