If you have warrants do not do what you are describing. The vehicle can be pulled over at any time and anywhere not just weigh stations. If "bad driving record" is actually and ONLY a bad driving record only employers, insurance companies, and cops/DOT look at driving records.

You will be asked this question by every shipper and freight broker. If it's not dock height you will miss out on freight. Some customers may allow you a few minutes to handle every pallet and some may not allow you on property or only deal with you last. Lots of people without dock height trucks think they have a plan that's "just as good" as having a dock height truck. -

Oh no warrants for me anymore thank God. No I just created a LLC purchased a MC# for the company my plan is to have my wife be a driver get her a DOT# and I oversee the loads and be a ride along passenger until a couple years go by and I can be a driver under my own DOT#. I shouldn’t run into any issues doing that no?

Some places I go to have signs. No riders beyond this point(guard shack) you’ll be waiting for her to come back out to pick you up.
Also if you’re not an employee you’ll need rider insurance and proof the ‘company’ allows riders, or scale master/dot can have you have a copy for proof.
Feedman, tscottme and bryan21384 Thank this. -
