    Hey All,
I've been off 10 weeks now, and itching to get back to work. I have over 4 years experience, no tickets, 1 minor preventable accident. I was working for Danny Herman, and liked it for the first year or so, but things started to change, and eventually i got fed up and quit.

I've been searching these forums, but finally i realized, maybe i should just state what i want from a job, and then maybe someone can recommend a good company.
    so, here's what i want:
    1. Dry van
    2. long length of haul.
    3.No North East.
    4. no micro management. If i take a 12-14 hour break, no one is calling me.
    5. not alot of repowering.
6.I never go home, so can be based out of anywhere.

i know these jobs exist, because that's what Danny Herman was the first year i worked there.
anyone work for or know of another company that fits those criteria?

    thanks for any replies,
    Steve

I don't have any answers, but just curious, you didn't mention money.

$0.40 cents a mile would be acceptable. not ideal, but acceptable. Mostly i'm just looking for a job that is low stress. My days of go go go, driving overnight, sitting at god forsaken reefer warehouses, etc are over.

No idea, Chinatown. I'm not from Washington. They hired me from Ohio. That's where my dl is, at least.

@nickto21 - what about Wilson Logistics?

Why not tanker? It's less stress than dry van/reefer riff-raff. The customers treat you like a human instead of a possible serial killer. A 48 ft tanker is SOOOO much easier to park than one of those stupid 53 ft boxes with wings on the back. Most customers also respect your time, unless they are union. Many customers allow you to park on their property because they only get a small number of tankers, not 300 reefers per day. I've never ever had to pay some dirtbag $300 to unload my tanker freight. They pay more like 50 CPM plus hourly rates.

    Chinatown,
I appreciate the recommendation. But, Wilson Logistics is both reefer and Prime in disguise.
Neither of which i'm interested in.

Wilson Logistics is dry van. You're thinking of Jim Palmer Trucking which is reefer.
They both do some hauling for Prime, but are separate companies
One man owns Prime and another man owns Wilson Logistics and Jim Palmer Trucking.

    NavigatorWife and tscottme Thank this.

That's a good point. I actually have some tanker experience.I was looking at Indian River, but they go to the Northeast. I'm open to a tanker job, but it would have to be no northeast, and no pumps. Mostly i'm looking for low stress.
