When operating a roll off dump truck pulling a transfer trailer with a second bin on it. Do I need to have my doubles endorsement?

A transfer trailer? As in ONE trailer with two BINS loaded on it?

No. You can have a thousand bins up there on top of one trailer.

One bin on the truck and a second bin sitting on the transfer trailer.

No, you're only pulling one trailer. If there was a trailer behind the trailer then you'd need the endorsement

    Daycabinit and Hreed420 Thank this.

No, thats a single trailer. Off you go. The truck you are in is a tractor with a pintle hook instead of a 5th wheel. You can put one trailer of whatever you like on that. Thats where the Class A comes in.

Now if you were one truck with TWO trailers, then yes doubles time.

It might be doubles to your companies billing department, but as far as the DOT is concerned it's just a single trailer.

Only place I have seen that you'd need doubles for an outfit like that is Nevada with their triple transfers.
