to make a long story short in the midst of trying to switch jobs to be closer to my kids to raise them. Got a citation for following too closely last August while in Illinois don’t remember the city ... current employer don’t have the report or ticket copy that i sent in due to the fact i paid the ticket ... so the new job tells me they can’t process my application without the information about that citation what can i do ? Moving in two weeks and don’t have a address yet i Heard getting a copy of your mvr takes 15 days

you can get (in most states) a copy of your MVR online. usually a bit more of a fee as well.

my state, charges $1.50 for online MVR records, so i just go in person when i need one.

Contact the DMV who holds your drivers license. Your driving history, accidents and tickets will be listed and shown on your driving history. It never goes away! Now you will have the exact location and date of the incident. Then just contact the Department or Agency who investigated the incident and they can send you the copies and reports of what is on file.
