I have a 1 ton truck and 32 ft gooseneck that are registered in my name that I'm planning on leasing to my friends company. Will I need to change my registration or anything else (besides the obvious cmv inspection)?

Your friend should be able to answer all these questions or I wouldn't hitch my wagon to that mule. I'm not just trying to be funny. Make sure he knows all these regulations and so forth. You will need to get on his apportioned tag account or you'll have to deal with all the IFTA stuff yourself.
rollin coal and backhoeguy Thank this. -
Nope. Registered in your name is fine. As long as the plates are "big" enough your good to go there. You have to provide unladen (deadhead) and collision insurance. When your under dispatch the liability and cargo ins is on them.
