    Hi Folks
i have 4 years of OTR experience. 2 of4 i am owner operator (worked with dryvans and reef )
now i pull overweight containers in Chicago`s area with 50-60 miles radius from rail yard in Elwood Il
i sleep every night at home 98% of cases , 5 days per week . average weekly mileage(220-400 miles per day ) 1300-1700 per week with avg rate 1,47$-1,57$ after all my expenses (i put in pocket)
    my avg check is 2100-2500
my questions are -------Does it make sense to go in LS ? will i have opportunity to make more money with them ?
i never used Electronics LogBook ---- does it make problem ?
what should i expect if i`ll sign in with them ? which trailer better ? is it hard to drive truck and to be self dispatch ?

If your putting $2000 a week in your bank account AFTER expenses. Plus you sleep in your own bed, eat breakfast and dinner at home. Why would you care if you could make more at land star? But to answer your question my best friend leased on a year and half ago. Lately he is on a major $$$ role. But prior to the last month and half. He averaged $1.65 per mile, thats for all milea empty, loaded, bobtail, under dispatch, or off duty going to wally world or the shop. Cash to the bank after expenses was $1795 per week staying out 3 weeks then 1.5 weeks home (with a little local work now and then)

What is your primary motivation - because it sounds like you have it pretty good where you're at, and have your costs calculated.

Depends how hard you want to work, and how long you want to stay gone.

Honestly there's a lot of BS with LS - and self dispatch, learning the curve is tough. It takes a little time.

The money is here, but . . . I dunno.

What do you mean after expences? You won't gross more than 4500-5500 per week right now with dry van, I would say it's gonna be more like 4k gross per week with LS dry van
