starting school monday in richmond. i have three offers on the table from werner, usa truck, and maverick. usa doesn't pay very well so they are a distant third. question is this: how bad is reefer hauling? if i go with werner that's what i will do. the pay they offered is decent, and the account i will be on is 'bout two hours from my home. maverick is more money and a much better rep., but i will probably have to move. any suggestions? i know there are a bunch of long time truckers on this forum and your advice is well appreciated:notworthy:

:sign2: i know maverick pays well but is all flats i think. werner has regional routes but at the school i am going to there is a waiting list.

hahaha! that was a good one php. i should have worded that different:smt043 i'm supposed to be on mav's pre-hire list but since i am so new to this i'm not quite sure how that will work. i,ve read that refrigerated service (sounds better, huh) can be nasty work, and i'm not opposed to flats. just want to make the right move.:thumbright:

yeah, that's what i heard too. my wife's cousin drives for werner ref. service and says he likes it. he would be my trainer if i go with them. that would make it easier as far as training goes since he lives close to me. i would be home when he is. usually every weekend. but i really am impressed with maverick's professionalism. they have never failed to return my calls or e-mails, and have also advised me on some subjects.
