Hey all, I currently live in Michigan and I want to relocate to Frisco, TX, the problem is how hard is it to land a gig in Trucking there?
I have a clean record (no accidents, felonies), just got my CDL class A about a month ago, and have my Tanker/Doubles and Triples endorsement. I didn't go for the hazmat, because I know I'm moving and it would be a waste to get one in Michigan.
The company I want to drive for are food service companies like McLane, Sysco, Gordon, etc. But Sysco told me I have to be in the vicinity to be considered.
I'm somewhat considering regional, and I'm not interested in doing OTR. I'm in my late 20's with a wife and two kids. Any advice would be appreciated.
Need to relocate to Texas
