    2004 Freightliner Classic XL
    VIN- 4DM82101

I am in need of wire diagrams for the cab and engine. Alternatively a service manual or complete factory repair manual would suffice!!! If you know a way I may obtain these please let me know your recommendation and I greatly appreciate all help offered.

    Couple of things to note:
    1. What are you referring to exactly that you need wiring for? This will better help me get to the component.
    2. Keep in mind this wiring is only for what the truck was built with--stock. So any modifications thereafter need to be considered on your behalf.

Here is an example of your S60 dash harness (inside bulkhead connector): upload_2024-10-31_14-39-42.png

Here is the engine harness (other side of bulkhead connector):

Very good point. And thank you. I am currently specifically searching for schematics for cruise control wiring dash said and engine side.

secondly searching for wiring on RPM gauge dash and engine side. Truck was purchased after an accident so ALMOST everything has been repaired and is working great however those two items have stumbled me and the previous shop a bit. Again thank you greatly for your information and assistance it is very much appreciated!

Hopefully you didn't mess with the dip switches on the back.

The back of your tach should be this:

The ECU has the signal for tach here as 162:

Circuit 162 goes to the BH1 connector on the firewall:

    Here's the cruise swtich:

Sadly no I didn’t mess with the DIP switches because there wasn’t even a RPM gauge when I got it. I’ve purchased a OEM gauge from Freightliner near me and installed it as is with the preset they had. I will compare it to what you have shown. However it doesn’t appear to have any signal at all. That’s my purpose for needing the wire info. Thank you very much for this info it should help resolve my issues. Once I get back home later this month I will check it all out and reply back here. Thank you again!
