Buy a used semi truck and a fifth wheel camper. You can find a good used semi cheaper then you can find a good diesel dullay pickup. Tag it as a recreational vehicle and pull your camper to ND and find a place to set up. Rent the sleeper out to someone living in their car and you might get enough to make the payments. Then find you a good driving job. It sounds good.

Ben Gunn and AC22 Thank this.

In Texas if you don't leave the state you can drive 12 hours in 15 hrs is what I think the law reads, anyway I know the 12 hour rule is still correct not sure on the 15 a few years ago that was the rule

Assuming you have payments. The guy that we're leased on with now has a nack for finding pretty decent trucks for $6-8000.

Check out craigslist, lots of jobs posted there. I drive by yards between Victoria and San Antonio and see banners looking for CDL drivers.

You can go on workintexas.com and create a profile and see a bunch of listings for winch, vac drivers, and equipment operators.

Caterpiller is building a huge plant here in Victoria so they say housing will get tight. You can find apartments here but houses are tough to come by and expensive. We just signed a lease for $1450/month for a 3br/2ba.

South of San Antonio is booming! Come get some!!

Hi, do you know of any companies that are hiring owner operators for the crude oil hauling jobs in South Texas?
