negotiating new truck price $140,000

Hard to say without knowing more about it.
Truck could have been sitting a while and already discounted to get it moved

 

You could always call another dealer and "spec a new truck" and see how they fair compared to the one you're dealing on.... and go from there.

If they wont move much on the purchase price, try to haggle your way into an extended warranty from the oem if the deal can still work for you

 

Those are house pricing to me. You should have access to three or four good dump trucks at that kind of money.

 

go in with a wad of cash for a great downpayment, tell him your bottom line..if he agrees' when he see's CASH down payment, you're golden, if not, walk the heck out and don't look back.

then go straight to a mack dealer for a real dump truck....

 

that's a mighty fine truck, if i do say so myself...
