Got about 3 weeks until I'm going to buy a truck. Paying cash. Wanted a new truck. But #$%@ FET

So I've found a handful of 2019's with between 80k-150k miles for 120-140k. How much wiggle room do I have? Dont wanna come off as a total prick but of course wanna pay the least possible

140 for anything that's got more than 50k miles is high, just my opinion though.

my experience has been there is no wiggle room.......take it or leave it, that's the price.
That said, since used trucks are quite plentiful at the moment, they might be a bit friendlier....but I wouldn't count on it.

You could find a name brand truck dealer and talk with a salesperson... Ask them if they could help you locate a truck within your year, mileage and price range. Just another tactic to consider..

I thought we didn't pay Federal Excise Tax on used equipment? Isn't FET only for new?

A 2019 with more than 80,000 miles was a team truck. And if it's red Cascadia it was a cre truck probably only had 1 oil change.

For a $140-$150k you should be able to factory spec a new truck.

I'm being told 160 before FET and a 4 month wait as well. That was with my local dealer Fresno CA. Anyone have a lead on better salesmen?
