2.64 is a mite tall, I like it to be a closer to 3.00 or a bit over.

Ive had my fill of rears at 2.30 or whatever, you cannot hardly get out of town on them.

    D.Tibbitt and Wespipes Thank this.

Never ever pay cash for a late model truck. Use the banks money and keep your money in your account. Just put down a minimum down payment. It's good business sense.

And pay finance charges and interest? No. You're throwing away money.

So. You buy a 50k truck, blow 80% of your savings on it, and six weeks later, you lose the transmission.

You almost certainly lose the transmission somewhere very inconvenient, because that's life.

You get gouged by the shop doing the repairs. You have to pay for a tow. You have to pay another driver to finish the load and/or late penalties.

You can't pay for the repair with cash because you blew your savings on the truck.

So, you finance that too-expensive repair job at a ruinous rate, because you probably have a poor credit rating if you are a cash person.

Using other people's money is not always a bad idea. Sometimes it can shield you from a lot of pain.

First off. I wouldnt buy a 50k truck. And not have min of 20-30k in the bank I'm buying a 135k truck with a warranty and still have a mant. Account with 15k in it while still adding 15 cents per mile into it

Your not thinking correctly in a business sense. Deal directly with a bank you can negotiate and pay no finance charges. Interest is tax deductable. Throwing away money is when you throw your own money to buy. Business 101.
