Just received a phone call from district manager and he apologized for the way the general manager treated us.

I am sorry to hear that. People never seem to take responsibility. My dad told me many many years ago that you're more of a man when you can admit fault and correct the error. That's a hard thing for people to do, which is why it's so rare. Best of luck with your impending battle.

Why would you get mechanic work done at a truck stop? Just because they wear the uniforms does not mean they are real mechanics. :biggrin_25512:

Truck stop's should only be a last resort for service, wouldn't trust them with any job on my truck.
Live and learn I guess. Good luck.

I am glad the district manager valued your business and trust more than the other manager did.

The original post was edited, along with the title of the thread, just before post #5 above this post, was made.

    Well,Thats an easy answer,

Many 1 truck owner-operators Don't have the resources and/or Funding to Lease Space, Buy tools /or hire a mechanic.

Sorry,But the income generated with 1 truck MOST of the time will not be enough to Have a garage

Some guys that live in rural areas,(Farms,Country,) That kinda thing, Have room to park their trucks at home, build a shed or something a set of basic tools for general repairs,Then do the work themselves.....

Just because you have the keys and a license does not mean you are a real driver either.
