Why, BUT why did you get the manual restriction being so young ? Are the schools telling you that all trucks are automatic now and you don’t need it ?

Dot Foods Transportation
CDL Age Requirements Overview
While many transportation companies make you wait until you’re 21 to start driving professionally, several Dot Transportation distribution centers and terminals have openings for prospective drivers right out of high school!
Since drivers must be at least 21 years of age to cross state lines, DTI’s “intrastate routes” (i.e. routes that do not require crossing state lines) allow drivers at least 18 years of age to start turning over miles and earn money without straying too far from home. -

You need hazmat endorsement. Even food service companies require hazmat. Some will hire without it, but you must apply immediately after hiring.

For Dot Foods -- he will need the tanker endorsement, as well.

Hi David Samuel. Jamaican? In your area, there should be the dumpster rollback companies and the beverage companies. That beverage delivery is definitely work, but it’s a start and counts as tractor trailer experience.Trucker61016, tscottme, Numb and 2 others Thank this.
