    Hey guys,

I graduated with trucking school last month with all my endorsements. I have applied to many local companies with no luck. I am looking for an LTL position or locally.
I do not want to go OTR to get experience nor go regional. I need to stay home every night due to obligations.
I would even work for Pepsi or any grocery store chain. I just need to be home every night.

Does any one have any leads in Phoenix, AZ? Heck, I will go anywhere in the country as long as I can be home every night.
Every one keeps telling me if I wait 3 months without getting a job I have to take a refresher course.

Any leads for trucking companies locally would be helpful. I am desperate to find local work and get tractor trailer experience.

    Thanks.

Flood the companies with job applications, here's a list of job ads running now.

Las Vegas local driving home every night:

    Airgas
    Shaw Industries
    Saia LTL Freight
Watkins-Shepard (openings for local and OTR)
    Reddaway
    LMG Inc.
    Graebel Companies

Ignore "experience required" and submit applications anyway. Submit applications before any phone calls.

Odd. Don't recall seeing this combination before. Wants local, yet willing to move anywhere, but Must be Home at Night. Odd I say. Night blind? Addicted to Fox News? Werewolf? Odd I say.

I need local, however, when my lease is up in a few months I am free to move anywhere in the country with my family for a local trucking job or stay where I am---but I still cannot do OTR because I want to be home for my kids --- #######.
Why did I bother coming in here to deal with ####tards who try to be funny or sarcastic? Im out. Delete my thread admin I will go somewhere else.

You should have done your homework before going through cdl school...

too many of these people come on here with disillusions of getting rich and being home nightly just because they went to a cdl school. Cdl school does not make you a truck driver it is only the first step in your training program.

good luck op but dont expect things to go your way quickly.

    I am of similar mind.

You get into trucking KNOWING that you will most likely have to go OTR for a year or more to get anything local.
And if you didn't know up front, well, you did absolutely no research before you went for it.

It has nothing to do with ftards on this board, but more with your own lack of realism.
You want to eat your cake, and have it too. And it doesn't work that way in the real world.

I don't think you can succeed in this business if you have that much of thin skin.

However I do wish him luck, I had to quit trucking because I needed to spend time with my kids you just have to make priorities.

It seems a lot of his other posts equate to complaining and ######## about something, making excuses why he cant do one thing, or why he should do another. It does seem like he didnt do his homework. It also seems like his overall attitude isnt all that great. Not sure he will even make it as hes already snapping at people throwing insults when they are just trying to understand his stance.
