New CDL holder looking to get Haz/Tanker endorsement

Hey guys. I got my CDL a couple of days before leaving the country for 7 weeks. I wanted to get my Haz/Tanker/ doubles & triples endorsements but I had to forfeit the tests, even though I paid for them, to get my license right away. I live in Cali and if you "leave it open" and don't complete the tests in a certian amount of time then you loose the CDL and have to retake the road test apparently. I didn't have time to work it all out before my trip. Also, I didn't realize how complicated it is to get the hazmat at the time when I signed up for the permit.
Anyways, I won't be back in the states for another 10 days. Can you all recommend a place online to study for the test and take pre-tests?

 

I figure nobody is putting me in a hazmat vehicle for at least a year... As a new driver with no experience yet should I bother getting hazmat right away or just get tankers, doubles and triples and wait on hazmat until I will need it?
