Here is the problem with 21 hours of road time type of school, the insurance companies will not allow people with this little time in school to be hired. Both my insurance companies have sent me letters stating that if I hire new drivers (which I rarely do), they either have to have the new standard hours of education or they have to have a number of years as a class b driver or yard dog work.
Heavy haul needs experienced drivers, and a good track record.

Why?

We are in a recession in this industry and it won’t get better until two things happen, one is we have to get rid of 10% of the drivers we have in this industry but more important is getting rid of 15% of the owner operators and fleets.

we have too many crap drivers, with no professionalism, a lack of morals and worst of all - a lack of skills to drive safely.

this is most likely the best advice you will ever get.

 

240 is excellent. You attended a 240 hr. school. You qualify for Eagle Transport if the school is on their list.
