Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I will do cattle or whatever just let me show exactly what I can do and how hard of a worker I am there was. A guy who wrote me on here from London KY and asked me if I could or would do and learn cattle I gave my number but never heard anything back
-
Why on earth would you go to CDL school with reckless driving and evading police with a motor vehicle on your record.
I don’t think you have much of a chance at a job before, but now in todays market you would have better odds climbing Everest. -
Your right but not really because they have to expo sponge my record and like I said don't judge a book by the cover read and do the research first because theses was bogus charges and they didn't want to lose money so you should do the research first before you run pop off at the mouth
-
And another thing that is funny about your opinion is are you even a truck driver because companies are begging for drivers
-
Well...actually he's right. Reckless driving is going to make it tough for you to get a job. It's all about what a company's insurance will allow as you already know. It's probably so expensive to insure you that it isn't even worth bringing you even at less money. No disrespect intended, just the way it is. Plus, you ain't gonna get charged if you didn't actually do it. You got probation so it's on your record and it seems to be a relatively fresh charge.
Just about all of us are truck drivers or have been in the industry a while. He knows what he's talking about. You are the one who came here seeking help. A little humility never hurt anyone here. Companies are always looking for help, but contrary to popular belief, the reputable ones aren't hiring folks just because they have a pulse. They do have a brand to protect, and they would like high character people working for them. I don't know you so I can't say if you're high character or not, but when a company sees charges like that, it isn't a good look. Perception is reality unfortunately. Now that I've said all that, you'll need to go get some money up, and go see about getting one of those charges expunged. That isn't a guarantee that you'll find a job because the reckless driving is still on your license. You'll need about 3 years for that to fall off. Companies can overlook a lot of criminal issues, but reckless driving is a kiss of death to getting just about any job.88 Alpha, Kyle G., Diesel Dave and 1 other person Thank this. -
I promise you that in the state of Kentucky this is a commonwealth state they will charge you with whatever they want I promise and if you all don't believe it please feel free to look up Manchester KY or Clay county KY and you will see just how bad it is you can't even pay for a lawyer to come in to represent you because of the corruption in the county it's bad but like I said if they would look at the file they would see exactly what I am saying and one more thing is I have less than 5 months and can have my record expunged

Try Craigslist, maybe a 1099 company might over looked it…… I said “might”…..
bryan21384 Thanks this. -
We'll move this thread into the Help Wanted section. You might get a better response there, although the advice you've already been given is excellent.
You might have to work for a third level carrier for awhile...say three to five years. 'til your driving record heals up.bryan21384 Thanks this. -
They're begging for drivers with clean driving records, a certain amount of experience, and good references. Some of them even check your credit score. All of them check with your former employer. If I was looking to hire a driver right now I could count on maybe one in ten meeting my qualifications, which aren't all that different from any other company.88 Alpha, bryan21384 and Diesel Dave Thank this.
