It has to be colder than 45 degrees or above 90 degrees for them to even consider idle. But idle time then was controled by mile driven, so if your stuck in Cheyenne in a snow storm, and you delivered in Denver, you may not have enough mile credits to idle.
I doubt you have worked for them. They also like shuttling drivers via greyhound, which also sucks.

No, I haven't worked for May. My information is from what other drivers have posted and what May has on the website.
Opti-idle, the truck decides when to idle. The company doesn't control that, the truck computer does. Many companies are now installing opti-idle to save fuel costs.

I've never driven in another country other than the USA. I live in Las Vegas. I now spend several months a year vacationing in Asia.
