I think turnover in general with smaller companies will get worse. I’ve seen a few cases here where guys brought their bad habits over from whatever mega company they came from and they just didn’t work out.

Considering that Holland pays less CPM than many mega carriers it's no wonder they attract less than stellar drivers. When I was there I did a swap with a driver in south Georgia that seemed like he was from Africa (broken English). He just started less than a month before and already ripped off the trailer mudflap and bracket on a brand new trailer "backing over a curb" near Tampa, FL. I still don't see how backing over a curb would completely rip a piece a metal off that's 3-4 feet off the ground. Unless he backed over a curb and then went down an embankment lol.

If the pay is "not any good" and the megas pay more, then what are you doing at Holland?
Seems like a personal perception issue that is easily solved. -

Tip for those in the new trucks if you haven't already figured it out -
The PasSmart 30 minute timer is reset 11 hours after it starts anew following a full 10 hour break. So for the days you know are going to be long, best bet is to activate the overspeed early in the day, like ASAP, even for just a few seconds. This starts the "renew timer". And before 11 hours elapses, you can use up the first 30 minutes, then at 11 hours [following when you first activated it] you'll get a fresh 30 minutes.
At least this is the way my 18## worksjeff18 and mushroom1464 Thank this. -

Lots of other companies seem to be turning up their speed . I'm getting passed by crst, werners, and usxpress trucks and just cruising behind 65mph swifts
Even Stevens lease guys are running 66-67 now -
Bynum Transport, a tanker company near my house, used to run 65 but recently turned all their trucks up to 70

Drive faster just to wait longer for your appointments lol
