Which rule states that? It's simply wrong. The 2/3 doesn't stop the clock no, but it does count for the split.

It doesn't look any big changes so drivers can't cheat to much. The new spilt sleep is ok but not a big help. Driver can't cheat the system unless you sit for 2 or 3 hours. Then you still have park on the other end and take 8 or 7 sleeper. So it get to complex I'd your using it to cheat I think. So most driver and company will probably still be forced in to 10 hour breaks
Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
Both breaks now interrupt the 14 hour clock.
When does it take effect?Dave_in_AZ and magoo68 Thank this. -

"Don't want to drive 16 hours to make a deadline, screw you, your fired, we will have someone else step up and do it. "
The depression really made a lot of people desperate for work and many died doing jobs to feed their families.
So congress fixed the problem of people being abused by companies by limiting their work and this did actually do something good, death by driving a truck took a nosedive until the war which then people just went crazy moving freight by truck, which was the expansion of trucking.
There were several revisions, the best one was in 1962 which was changed for some stupid reason in 2005 and it has been down hill ever since.peterd, MTN Boomer, jamespmack and 5 others Thank this.
