Hello all, I go by lonewolf gringo.

Started the process of breaking into the trucking trade in 2024. After getting DOT certificate and CDL permit, I earned my CDL at Wilson Logistics. After working for them for a while I left and tried to go to Barr Nunn but accidentally left Wilson too early before gaining enough experience to qualify. So I worked for US Xpress for a couple months and THEN went to Barr Nunn.

Been driving for Barr Nunn Transportation since november of last year as a solo company driver for .67/mile ever since and loving it! But still feel like I've scratched the surface of learning to be a trucker, despite technically driving these rigs since November of 2024.

Got into the trucking trade so I can save up 150k USD and then I'm heading to Cordoba, Argentina to begin a new life. There I can buy a 2 bedroom apartment for 40-60k USD worth of pecos and finally finish my education in math, engineering and physics without going into student loan debt because that education is free in Cordoba. Wish me luck!

So you made 150k in one year in trucking ? So transporting for the Cartels does pay off, long as you don’t get caught .

Edit: OP was edited after my post. Where 150k is mentioned.

Our country should subsidize smart folks like yourself for their educations.... Unfortunately we instead subsidize lazy people who don't want to work for the most part.. But don't get me wrong, there are people and families that need the help.. these folks are the minority.. I did pre- calculus in high school, I liked derivatives but that's as far as I go.. yeah derivatives were cool... LOL.. All The Best!

yeah i did fill out FAFSA form and could not qualify for any financial aid. i really dont want politics involved in this conversation but the onlybway to answer that question is
    1. only financial aid i can qualify to get is student loans. and this is in the context of due to being a straight white male with no kids and a legal citizen of the usa and no criminal record. im not going up to my eyeballs in debt to go to colleges where the education quality sucks, and i have to worry about certain objects slamming into my body at 3,000 feet per second, and have to worry about being treated like an outcast for not aligning with a certain political narrative. Meanwhile a personal friend of mine who is an illegal immigrant. (not his fault. his mom illegally immigrated and brought him with her when he was 2yrs old) can qualify for all the free education he wants. Eventually he got legal citizenship when he became an adult and now runs his own business.

    2. In Cordoba, Argentina, pursuing the same education is free for everyone, the quality of learning is better, folks in that culture are not so divided against each other, you dont have to worry about mass pew pew events, you just focus on learning stuff. the way it should be. :)

thanks and youre right on that. ive experimented with taking a few classes at a couple different technical colleges over the years and even attended a few classes at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University Online just to see which method of learning works best for me. only could take a few classes paying out of pocket. I have a couple thousand dollars of student loans im still paying off from the online college haha. Quality of education is so bad at these american colleges that i basically paid thousands to teach myself math. I'm now at pre calculus level but dont have time to study due to the nature of my job. i'm using an audio app to study spanish while driving (something the safety director at barr nunn encouraged me to do when we were discussing a safe way to study a language while driving) but that's all the studying i can do right now.

already used the self taught method to learn how to 3D model through Blender. here's a couple pics of where my 3D modeling skills are at now:
