If you are at a quarry with a day cab tractor I assume you are pulling either an end dump, side dump, or belly dump. With the gap between your tractor and the trailer, along with the fact that the trailer should be lower profile than a van, and add that much of your driving is probably at slower speeds than highway driving, I would say that it would not be worth the cost and problems that you may have trying to mount it.

Chicken wings have never really worked. I wouldn’t waste my money. Unless you are trying for the late 80’s early 90’s theme.

I put one on my 359 sleeper in the mid eighties. I don't know that it saved much on fuel, but it caused a vibration. I should never have done it.

But chicken wings were all the rage back then. Some folks even put them on the hood.

I think they even made little tiny ones for the sides of the hood too. I'll admit the "cool" factor was part of my decision, but I didn't care for having them installed all over the #### truck.

    JbugBDT and ElmerFudpucker Thank this.

Yeah they had them for the tops of the fender. Used to be a guy around that had a black 359 with all of them. As well as the stainless louvres on the side of the hood. I probably don’t have to say it, but he was a container hauler.

I think if you show up to the pit with a wind deflector, gonna be some razzin',, if anything, maybe something like a bottom deflector under the trailer, but you won't gain much.Van a different story. I put an old Schneider deflector on my Western Star, and got maybe a mile more per gallon with vans or containers.

    JbugBDT Thanks this.

I tried reaching out to the Mack museum to get a build sheet on my truck but they needed the sub mmodel I think he called it.
I’ve been having a hard time locating the identification plate. Is it behind the material on the door panel?
