If you are at a quarry with a day cab tractor I assume you are pulling either an end dump, side dump, or belly dump. With the gap between your tractor and the trailer, along with the fact that the trailer should be lower profile than a van, and add that much of your driving is probably at slower speeds than highway driving, I would say that it would not be worth the cost and problems that you may have trying to mount it.

I think if you show up to the pit with a wind deflector, gonna be some razzin',, if anything, maybe something like a bottom deflector under the trailer, but you won't gain much.Van a different story. I put an old Schneider deflector on my Western Star, and got maybe a mile more per gallon with vans or containers.
