If it's a dealership however, you can make arrangements to just drop the vehicles off at the dealership and like I said you just put the keys in the drop box. -
Very true and you are correct about that being a luxury for us. I don’t understand how some one can sit at a warehouse all day not doing anything but waiting to get unloaded.

I guess that I do the STI drop offs also. Just never heard the term . Only do cars on return if needed. Yes, I am NOT the wait around all day perfecting my tiddly winks kind of person. Things to do - places to go !!

I remember a dealer who always had to find some bs damage. The carrier I worked for would wait to deliver his cars all at once and usually when it was raining or snowing.

These trends can change over time, as your friend mentioned, and what's popular today may not be the same tomorrow. It might be worth exploring both options and staying updated with the industry to make an informed decision.

Apologies for reviving this old thread, but I'd like to give my two cents. It's not uncommon for markets to go through cycles. It's possible that hauling used cars may be more lucrative at the moment due to factors like competition and manufacturer practices, as your friend suggested. Another aspect to consider is the growing demand for enclosed auto shipping, especially for high-value or classic cars, which can often fetch higher rates. So, exploring opportunities in that niche might be worth considering as well. However, it's always a good idea to gather more information and do some research to get a clearer picture of the current trends.
