New Truck Driver

Hey everyone,
I just started at a local truck driving school a couple weeks back. I'm on track to get my CDL here soon. I joined the forum so I could gain some insight into the industry. I'm not sure where I'll start out exactly, but it'll probably be with flatbed loads and eventually move into heavy haul. Some day I'd like to be an owner/operator with my own authority and maybe own a small fleet but we'll have to see how everything goes first.

 

They have. They keep business cards and brochures out where the students can easily get to them, and most of the students are already signed on with someone. I live in Western Kentucky, but I'll most likely either be driving for family or a friend of the family.

I think I went down that way one time years ago making a delivery to a school or nursing home down that way. Was actually just in Wickliffe the other day down by the river.
