Schneider is trying to recruit me for National dedicated position where I travel to different areas and work new accounts and fill in for vacations. Supposedly it isn't like the jet set I will have an assigned tractor and it will have an apu and a refrigerator. I'm not really buying it but has anyone actually been assigned such a truck and not been an independent contractor?
new truck with fridge and apu?

I read that their brand new trucks for company solo drivers have apu and refrigerator. The article has teams won't have an apu.

Some of the 2019 Freightliners have fridge and APU, some don't.

How many thousand is the sign on bonus...?

Unlikely, Schneider has been “testing and evaluating” auxiliary power options for 20 years. It’s just smoke and mirrors, they’ll never be seen company wide.
free spirited1 and Aamcotrans Thank this. -
Why work for any company that can’t give you a fridge and power?
Just say no -
All new trucks will have an apu and a fridge.
The exception is California based trucks which will have an epu based on Cali regs.
If you can handle being out long stretches and don't mind hand unload, national dedicated is a VERY good gig. They are the highest grossing drivers at Schneider - in other words hitting 80k isn't a stretch.
