1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I am a newly licensed Class A driver looking for work. I'm in Florida but I'm alone and my kids are grown so I can go out for as long as needed. Just a little back story. Ive been in the bar and restaurant industry for most of my life. I worked for a microbrewery near Jax from 97-99 and went otr from Jax to Richmond Va. distributing out product in a box truck, but I eventually returned to the bar business. Recently received my Class A CDL but I have no experience with combination vehicles, other than schooling. Ive jumped a lot of jobs the past few years, but they were all bartending gigs that I separated from on good terms with notice. Would love SD, ND . Any info and/or leads would be appreciated

Thank you x5 my friend. Appreciate it. Werner and Swift came to the class and spoke. idk. Beggers cant be choosers but I would love to stay away from the big companies. Have a feeling that all Im going to get starting out

    I always preferred big companies.
Once I'm in the truck and on the highway, I'm a one-man, one-truck operation.
Anyway, you're location really limits you.
Swift is ok. Did Swift offer you a job?

Regarding your preference for big companies, that's good to know. I am applying to some. As you mentioned, a few of the responses that Ive received said that they weren't hiring in my location, I'm thinking PAM was one. Im starting to document where I'm applying. Unfortunately, I really haven't been, mostly because I'm using Pulse and its already logged. I don't know. As mentioned previously, Ive bounced a lot of jobs these past few years. I'm still hopeful.

    Chinatown Thanks this.
