You would get out on that icy road to check your truck and make phone calls while other trucks slam into you?

I am just glad no body was in the path of the jack knife
sevenmph Thanks this. -
From the camera angle, the slick road really doesn't look like classic black ice but whatever it was, it was truly slicker than snot. Looks like it snowed. Then warmed up a bit to melt some of the snow, then got cold again, real fast. That was a straight stretch of road it looked like. I guess the car stopped in the road messed with Swift's mind. He said "oh my. That car is stopped. It must be slick. I better slow down real fast".
If he didn't crash there, he would have certainly crashed in the next curve in the road. -

Swift screwed it up royally when he just stomped the brakes You could have gotten out of that one like the can did. Brakes is the last thing you want in a jackknife. HOWEVER... Ive gotten out of a few early ones using the stab on the brakes pretty ferociously. One in particular almost scared myself off the road.
The bus went down swinging, but once she got loose that's it.QuietStorm, Lepton1 and Bud A. Thank this. -
That must be a notorious spot for being slick... IMO Those camera guys were there specifically to film spun out vehicles.
QuietStorm, Lepton1, Bud A. and 1 other person Thank this. -
Hard to steer with the brakes locked. (swift)
QuietStorm Thanks this. -
