NEWS FLASH....TMC APU's

I'd say TMC's recruiters are one step above their barely-literate CSRs.

all lies. I haven't hauled anything close to maximum weight in months. most loads are 45-46,000lbs. the only heavy loads I ever haul are out of Tamko or Lowes, Tamko is somewhat rare anymore, and Lowes is overweight to begin with but they don't care because there are no scales on the Mass Pike. 90,000lbs woohoo!

ask anyone who lives in the northeast how often they see this mythical "out west"

never heard of a fuel bonus. they calculate your MPG and it's figured into your certification.

this company will hire anyone with a pulse.

 

now my friend an apu is not going to make you overweight, i have no idea where that come from, you adjust your weight accordingly , i haul heavy haul and i already have one and plan on getting more .

the time is fast comming when all trucks will have them wheather we like it or not , in most places we cant idel now they expect us to burn up in the summer and freeze in the winter , o well just another bill we have to pay.
but we make so much money we will never miss it.

What the guy meant to say... TMC is too cheap to purchase APU's.

Weight has nothing to do with it, especially since they can obtain an offset for the added weight. I think it was a 500 lb allowance at one time...not sure now.

The tolls, that's a horse of another color altogether.

 

I have an APU on my truck. You get a 400 lbs allowance for having it.

 

TMC appears to be shorting drivers to keep profits a tad bit higher. Who would have thought a trucking company would do such a thing?

 

your certification is a matrix of variables such as idle time, out of route, revenue, etc. that determine your pay rate on TMC's performance-based percentage pay system. it was a legitimate system until they started hauling freight for $0.70 a mile.
