"stay at home dad" is your work history.
no proof needed. if so, why?
how does a female applicant prove it??
call a recruiter and ask. -
You still had to file taxes all those years.
Dozens of men have posted on here that were stay at home dads or caregivers for parents, etc. and they had no trouble finding a trucking job when all that was over.
Do you still have a cdl?
If no cdl now, you're starting over. Big changes since 2008; you won't recognize trucking these days.
Are you in Kentucky?Last edited: Sep 18, 2018
LilRedRidingHood Thanks this. -
The mega carriers probably won't care if you don't have a 10 year work history.

Millis Transfer is a good outfit; try there. This company has their own cdl school also.
It's possible you'll need some type of letter or affidavit stating you were a stay at home dad, but any company you apply with will let you know if that's needed or not. -
Celadon might send you through their contracted school in Indianapolis; call and find out.
