I have the trucker path myself. I love that app! Most of the time I park at my delivery. On occasion I have to get creative. My friend was so stuck on finding parking at Love's or Pilot in Georgia. I told about Gas n Go in Pinehurst, GA. It's Georgia's best kept secret. That is one of the last truck stops down 75 to fill up. He's been driving almost 9 years and never knew of it. They got some nice showers

The nerve of some people, minding their own business when YOU need to park. Savages, I say!

I thought it was Federal law that said you can only stop for 10 hours??
Isn't that in the same law book that says you "Have" to take a 34 hour reset??

That's exactly what I mean... If its not a large truck stop they wont stop there. 2 of my favorite places to stop for a 10 hr arent on Truckers Path, in any truck GPS, or in the Truck Stop Guide book... And they are also on routes that I rarely see very many mega drivers. I like to get off the beaten path whenever I can.

I notice that too . Must be because once they start moving tick tic goes the clock. I’ll run till 5 or 6 am and still can’t get a spot. I notice full lots at 10 am. Petro and TA half lot is reserved. I always find spot somewhere. Big Truckstops good place to get Truck hit while sleepjng anyway

    Oldironfan and Cattleman84 Thank this.

I know what you mean.... I'll do that as well, there are some places that few people know about. When you travel certain territories, you know where you can take breaks. People would find more places if they weren't such one dimensional truckers. They don't observe the area... attention is too much on that clock and gps

I drive nights as well , 02:00 can be tough in some areas to get a spot.
Especially the closer you get to large metropolitan areas.
In my experience a lot of day shift drivers start pulling out around 03:00 , yes that one hour makes a lot of difference.
But in general I don't have a problem getting a spot as early as 0200 even at PFJ's

    Oldironfan Thanks this.

That's what I miss about paper logs. people would just park for 4-6 hours or so and roll out leaving a parking space. With elogs you just sleep for 4-6 hours and twifddle thumbs waiting on the clock.

    Oversleeping is an overlooked issue.

Oldironfan and slim shady Thank this.
