Put the truck out of service on your DVR and tell the company to find the nearest repair facility to fix it.
If you can't get the proper rest because your HVAC system isn't working properly than it becomes a safety issue, write it up and tell your driver manager or dispatcher.
No person needs to suffer and not get their proper rest because the company you drive for wants to cheap out and wants to fix it at their convenience.Last edited: Sep 7, 2018

Ask the next trooper you see.
Or tool down window. Open any sleeper windows. -
Tell your boss you’ll sleep in his bed with his wife while he drives your truck for two weeks. It’s called cross-training refreshing. That way, you’re both comfortable doing another’s job if a situation develops unexpectedly.
Cottonmouth85, MBAngel, BillStep and 6 others Thank this. -
Thats one thing I liked about the old sleepers that had doors on them. You could find a shady place to park and open the doors up. They have what they call a wind tunnel fan that does pretty good but its not much help if you are sleeping in the daytime in very hot weather.
Oldironfan Thanks this. -

Demand the company to pay for a motel room for every time the truck A/C is not working properly.
