No Bill of Lading

    My question is, if the OP makes his own BOL and gets chosen by DOT for an inspection, and it is mexican contraband/hazmat/bad other third thing, what is the driver's liability? Wouldn't a load of dead illegals or drugs be a career-ender?

    It sure wouldn't be anything you would put on your resume!

    Another important thing to add to a BOL if the driver has to make out his own is the seal number if there is one. Drivers don't open sealed trailers when they pick them up therefore their liability may/can be mitiagted or removed.

    Since it was sealed I'd write STC auto parts as the description, STC stands for 'Said to Contain', I used to see it on alot of delivery orders way back.
