On cnbc they were just talking about Google's self driving car and how great it is and that they are supposedly going to start selling self driving cars soon. The person on there also mentioned that trucks could be self-driving driven by computers too. So why should anybody want to train to be a truck driver if all truck drivers are going to be out of a job in 10 years or less when self driving trucks become standard?
No human truck drivers in 10 years?

LOL... In a closed course perhaps, but out on the road? Not in our lifetime... I think we are often treated as less than human now, but that is another thread...

You left out the part where it'll be law that all self driving automated vehicles will still have to have a licensed driver behind the wheel "just in case." So I'll still have a job, it'll just be alot easier...tell me again why I should fear automation???
keepntruckin Thanks this. -
Because the robots will probe you every day. OH wait! Thats Martians, "Why do you suppose they always probe their victims?"
