    07 kenworth t800 750,000 miles
    Cummins ISX 18 speed

I’ve searched all the threads and either can’t find it or missed it with same problems.

jake, high idle and cruise only works when engine bay is cold/cool. After 25 miles down the road they stop working. Switches are still lit. Had the mechanic check switches and said they can all be operated via computer.
is there a relay or solenoid somewhere we are not seeing.
I feel like the problem was intermittent when it first started and has gradually came to where it is now.
There is a call into the Kenworth tech… been over a week with no answers found.

Does your "mechanic" have Cummins Insite or tool to monitor switches?

He can make them switch on and off. Also monitor them he said. He said they were alll working. Are there any switches in the engine compartment that I could check. The clutch, brake, cruise and accelerator all work like they should when started.

So they all are working correctly when the Jake or high idle won't work or only checking when they work?

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Co worker had a similar one that turn out to be a poor pin contact at the ecm plug, every thing worked find till it warmed up then quit. New pin in the connector fixed it.

    spsauerland Thanks this.
