    Bikerdave, if I may ask who are you running with? I went local with a tanker gig in Tampa but the first week pay is very sad. Not how it will go but fear the worst.

    I returned to trucking after a 4 yr break . For the truly desperate try covenant they hire from anywhere and even take felons although they review those. Still it's a place to get seasoned. As for Conway they match what the teamster s get at ups. I worked for them back in 01 and I hear they 've eased up on their fear of going union. As for the previous posters thanks for the leads I'm looking from around slocala

    CCC or CTL don't pay well. CTL you get to sleep in your bed every night.

    Windy hill trucking hires Florida drivers they have a office here also.They also provide training for newbies.

    All own by same company I believe,last I heard CCC local gig jobs starts at $13.00 an hr but it may be more now not sure.
